About Me

This website has been a topic of discussion for SEVERAL years now. I just didn’t feel like figuring it out nor did I want to commit to the content creation part of it. But just like anything else I’ve ever done, if it scares the shit out of me, well, I’m probably going to do it. HAH.

It was time to find a way to share more of my writing other than just posting a Facebook post randomly.

Not sure what will come of the various topics I will be writing on, but it’s important to have a platform to do so.

Okay so I guess I’m supposed to introduce myself here, right? So strange writing about my background but here we go!

I am 33 years old, and recently married to the woman who is seriously the most beautiful person on this planet both externally and internally. I am an ex collegiate athlete and I only mention it because it will explain a little more of my….attitude. I was an Outfielder and an Outside Hitter and Libero in college. I miss playing but my injuries remind me that it’s a no go. After College I went into Restaurant Management and hated it while also Coaching Club Volleyball (coached for 10 years). I then stumbled into what would be the most interesting job experience ever, private security. 

We were the first private security company to be trained as a private swat team. We were hired by apartment complexes or small police agencies that didn’t have the resources, training or personnel. Basically, I got paid to shoot guns, secure facilities and be apart of an incredible team. Unfortunately, the concept was sold and moved to Florida and we were all laid off. Which led me to where I am now!

For the last 6 & a half years I have been a Travel Nurse Recruiter. I can’t say I would have ever imagined I’d be here. Especially for this long but I have been able to meet SO many healthcare professionals and really go through the grind with them through the Pandemic. I am their first line of defense, which means I am ALL things: Coach, Therapist, Sounding Board and you name it. It’s taught me SO much about myself.

My Wife, Allison and I have FOUR dogs. It’s quite the craziness sometimes but we wouldn’t have it any other way! We have made the choice not to have children and instead we love the littles in our life with everything we’ve got.

When I’m not writing, my biggest hobby is furthering my food knowledge. I spend a LOT of time studying, watching and texting. Although my love language is Quality Time, I’m convinced its really just cooking. I also have quite the whiskey collection, but that’s a topic for a blog post eventually.
